Joe Dolan in Cheltenham

Joe's second England date of 2007 was at Cheltenham Town Hall on 15th March. By 7.45 the foyer was full and the doors were opened to reveal a lovely hall with plenty of tables and chairs around the sides and back of the room and rows of chairs on the dance floor. The stage was very high but Ern & I still decided to sit in the front row and get neck-ache! (Like Ern had any say in the matter)

We got talking to Sue and Keiran (photo, right), who had also been at the Galtymore show and also to a gent who was seeing Joe Dolan for the first time. He was an autograph collector and he'd met Joe backstage and enthused about what a nice man he is and how he'd expected him to look older.

I've used all the superlatives already in reviews of Joe Dolan Shows - he was brilliant, simple as that. Gave his fans 100% as always. A couple of girls managed to climb onto the stage but they were quickly removed by security.

As Joe was belting out "I Feel Good" (glad to hear it, Joe, you sound and look grand), I wondered to Ern if this was quite what the 'autograph man', as we'd dubbed him, had been expecting of a 60 yr old entertainer...

Both this song and Little Green Bag also seem to allow the band to really show their mettle too. Well done, all. Oh, and if anyone wonders if they'll be able to wiggle their hips after a replacement, look no further for an example.
