Calling all Joe fans
As some of you may be aware, Ronan Casey is currently writing the official, authorized biography of Joe Dolan, which is to be released by Penguin in late October of this year.
Ronan is hoping to let Joe’s fans have their say in the biography, and he wants to hear from you, so if any Joe fans out there have any memorabilia or interesting stories they would like to share to the world, then please get in touch with Ronan BY EMAIL ONLY to rcasey74@gmail.com
Ronan is actively looking for memorabilia - from newspaper clippings to advertisements, concert ticket stubs to record sleeves, magazine covers to your own cherished photos and beyond - to include in the book, which will be the definitive account of the late singer's life.
To make his job a little easier, if you have memorabilia like concert tickets, record sleeves from around the world, interesting newspaper clippings, advertisements or anything you think would help illustrate Joe’s amazing life story, and you have access to a scanner, then maybe you could scan the items and email them to Ronan at rcasey74@gmail.com ? If not, then I’m sure Ronan can come to some arrangement to post the items and return them to you safely after they have been scanned.
There is no guarantee that all items will be used in the finished book, but Ronan promises to look after every item and rightfully return them to their owners within a few weeks.
If you can do anything to help that would be much appreciated. Joe was all about the fans, and this is the fans chance to contribute to a lasting memorial to his legacy and give them full credit in the finished book.
The forthcoming biography features hours of interviews with Joe reminiscing about his life and career, including many stories from behind the scenes. Ronan will combine these with interviews from Joe’s family, colleagues and friends on and off the stage to create a definitive account of the man, his music and his life.
